Viterbi algorithm is a well-known maximum-likelihood algorithm for decoding of convolutional codes. In this article this algorithm is described using the approach suitable both for hardware and software implementations.
2008-11-02 Hard decision decoding of binary low-density codes based on extended Hamming codes
Low-density parity-check codes constitute a class of error-correcting codes which can give a gain close to the theoretical maximum defined by Shannon limit. In this paper one of such codes is presented, together with the appropriate decoding algorithm.
